Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss! What a week we have had with one more day to go! All week we've been hearing Dr. Seuss stories and completing a variety of activities centered around his books. Today was incredibly busy as we celebrated Theodor Seuss Geisel's birthday. We made Cat in the Hat hats, designed a new hat for the Cat in the Hat (you can see them hanging in our hallway if you happen to be in school), plus, we joined in MakerSpace in the library and tried out all kinds of Seuss-like activities, we built our own Who-villes out of paper, watched Green Eggs and Ham, made green eggs and ham, and ate green eggs and ham! Yum!!!! We even managed to squeeze in some other activities, art, recess, lunch, and playtime. Whew! What else is there to say - except to ask, "I wonder if the kids are as tired as I am?" Fun, Purposeful, and Relevant are three words to describe our day. Next up - My Plate, report cards, an early out, a field trip to the Sugar Shack, and more!
