I can hardly believe that Valentine's Day is almost here! We've been doing lots of great Valentine's Day, alphabet, and other projects; as well as, writing about things that we love. If you get a chance, stop on down and visit the hallway by our room to check out our writing and some of our other projects.
On Monday, we all get to don hats to celebrate Mrs. Weis-Clough being chosen Central Minnesota's Elementary Principal of the Year. Congratulations Mrs. Weis-Clough!! Plus, on Tuesday, we will get to go see the play "The Cat in the Hat" out at St. John's. (Don't forget your lunch if you signed up to bring one!) On Wednesday, we'll celebrate Valentine's Day in our classroom - it may even include a pajama party because we're so close to earning our last gum ball for good behavior. How much fun can someone have in such a short week! And, we'll sneak in some learning, too! I will also be visiting with each student to see how they are progressing in their learning. Keep practicing your letters, sounds, sight words, counting by 1's, 5's, and 10's, and reading! If we don't have any more snow or cold days, the hundredth day of school will be on the 19th of February. I hope everyone is coming up with some great hundred collections to share on that day. The school board is voting and it looks like we may be extending our school year and going to school the first four days of June. Check the district website for updates. Until next time, stay warm and keep learning.
