I can't believe that the month of November came and went already! We are in the last few weeks of fall - although it feels like we're knee deep in winter already! We had a fantastic presentation on Veteran's Day about veterans by Mr. Noll who was a career helicopter pilot. His wife, Diane Noll, our former administrative assistant, also came in to help. He explained to us what a veteran was, shared with us many types of helmets, vests, outfits, and more; plus he, showed us pictures, and let us try things on and ask questions. A special thanks to him and all of our veterans who keep us safe and have helped to make America great! Then, we had a presentation from some jr. high students on how to use Bee Bots to do coding. It was so much fun and they'll be coming back soon to do part two! Finally, thank you to everyone who sent in fleece and to our adult helpers: Diane Noll, April Wegleitner, Janelle Terhaar, and Monica Villanueva (a student teacher from St. Cloud Technical college who is with us three days a week through the 18th of December). Our Project Linus service project was very successful and we had a blast making blankets! In addition, we've been practicing all of our math and literacy skills in creative ways with hands on materials, songs, poems, drawings, worksheets, ipads, and through art and writing projects. We also finished up our end of the Trimester assessments and prepped for Special Person's Day. It seems there is so much to do and so little time! Try to enjoy all the little holiday moments and stay warm!
