Today we were lucky enough to have some students from St. John's prep come and teach us about viscosity - a property of matter. We discovered that water has a low viscosity because it pours easily; maple syrup has a medium viscosity; and water mixed with cornstarch has a high viscosity because it is thick and pours slowly - but it's a lot of fun to mush around!
