What a busy time we've been having in kindergarten. We've been slowly adding more concepts and activities as we get better at managing our time and completing things more quickly. There are so many things to do and so little time!! (That's probably the story for everyone's life these days!) Concepts we're working on this month and next: rules and routines, doing our best, sharing, kindness, friendship, inside voices, first names (recognizing, identifying the letters in our first names, and printing them with one capital letter), counting to 10 and recognizing numbers 0-10, beginning shapes, AB, ABC, AAB, and ABB patterns, sorting and grouping, rhyming, syllables, Nursery rhymes, apples, and too many more things to name! Below you can enjoy a slideshow of one of our favorite activities to choose from when we've complete our morning work.

Can you believe it is already week 2 of school!??! We've been so busy chasing Pete the Cat, learning rules and routines, meeting new teachers, playing, practicing taking turns, doing projects, listening to stories, and learning that we haven't hardly had time to come up for air! Below you can see our class enjoying a game of "Dead Bug" in gym class. Gym class is only one of the many specials we have during the week. We also enjoy music, social/emotional learning, and library. Be sure to ask your child about some of their favorite activities in school and also see if they can tell you at least 5 of our school rules! Summer is fast coming to a close and Fall is quickly approaching; enjoy the warm weather while it lasts! |
