I feel like we've been on a roller coaster ride this year - exciting twists and turns, mostly ups, with a few downs, some surprises, but traveling forward and always moving!
We finished our habitat study with some fabulous Toucan drawings using oil pastels; the kids had a great time and were really excited with their results. I'm hoping to sneak in one more project and also introduce them to the art of Georgia O'Keefe. Keep your fingers crossed! We also enjoyed the beautiful sounds of the Apollo High School Symphony Orchestra and wrapped up our study of US symbols with some bald eagle creations and amazing Statue of Liberty drawings and paintings, and more. On Wednesday, we'll learn about bike safety during the bike rodeo. Plus, we're continuing our regular studies through a variety of group and individual activities. I'm feeling the crunch of time, the sadness of ending this year's kindergarten experience, but also the excitement of things to come. Go out and make some wonderful family memories this summer; because, even though it's a cliche, time flies and goes faster than you think - so don't blink.
