It's crazy to think that fall has come and gone and we are beginning winter! What's even crazier is that Christmas is only 5 days away! So much to do and so little time! We have been busy with academics but have also been having fun learning a Santa poem and doing lots of holiday art! We have also been chasing Alfie the Elf around our classroom as he has had a snowball fight, taken a nap on a kleenex box, climbed to the top of the cupboards, hung from hooks around our room, and eaten my bag of chocolate! (That was where he crossed the line and I had to call Santa!) In addition to all of this, we have learned about Kwaanza, Hannukah, Las Posadas, and Christmas. There never seems to be enough time to do all of the holiday things that I would like to do with the kids and subjects I'd like to learn about with them. I guess that's good because the world is so full of wonderful things to see, do, and learn about to help us grow. Tomorrow we will have our Special Person's Day and your child will get to spend some fun, quality time with someone special in their life. It is always a good time and the results are deliciously spectacular! On Thursday we will have our coloring book exchange and PJ Polar Express Day. It will be a fun way to end the year before Christmas Break. Enjoy the picture below and the art coming home. You can also check out the link for the "Naughty List" video put together by our music teacher, Catherine Lucken. I also hope you enjoy the gift your children made and that you get to spend lots of time making memories this holiday season! |
