We've almost made it through a full week of school COVID style. We are getting used to wearing our masks and are doing an awesome job at it. We have been studying germs and ways to stay healthy, learning nursery rhymes, working on numbers 0-10, practicing phonemic awareness skills, learning how to follow rules and routines, reading stories galore, and so much more! Although the days can seem long for these little ones, our days are busy and sometimes I'm not quite sure where the time goes!
Next week we will be learning more nursery rhymes, poems, and songs; working on more phonemic awareness skills, practicing ways to demonstrate "Pawsitive" pride, reviewing numbers 0-10, and wearing some special colors as we are introduced to the color words. (M=red, T=Orange, W=School Pictures, Th=Yellow, and Friday=Green). There is never a dull moment in kindergarten! Hopefully, you will a chance to get out and enjoy the last days of summer before the changing of the seasons. Take care, Mrs. Manthe
