April?? When did that happen? It seems like winter has been so long and was dragging on and on, and then all of a sudden, it was spring! Only in Minnesota can we go from cold to hot and back again with a 50 degree or more difference from day to day. Well, as Garrison Keillor would say, " We Minnesotans are tough" and we live where "all the women are strong, all the men are good looking, and all the children are above average."
This month has kicked off with a snowstorm and a few 50 degree days which brought the shedding of snowsuits and snow attire. (But don't stash it too far because you never know….) We have our Pacer Puppet show tomorrow and will be discussing stranger danger and good touches vs. bad touches. We will also have our last Jr. Achievement presentation on goods and services, money and saving, and earning and trading. Plus, we have a variety of spring and Easter activities as we enjoy a new season and learn all about growing and changing. We're also getting down to our last 2 letters of the alphabet to learn - Qq and Uu - and will be adding some more sight words and word chunks as we practice our reading and blending. Also, throw in math as we learn about halves, counting by 2's, review old skills, and more. Whew! No wonder our days fly by! Until, next month - take care and think warm thoughts!
