I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving and that your child was able to share some things they learned about the Native Americans and how important they were to the first Thanksgiving. We made a "life-size" Squanto, learned about the Ojibwe, (also known as the Chippewa), the Sioux, and the Wampanoag tribes. We learned about their different homes and their lifestyles, learned a few Native American games, heard lots of stories, watched some movies that showed how they lived, and explored their world through a few art projects.
Thanks for sharing all the great turkeys who were disguised in so many clever ways!
Also, thank you for all the generous donations to our Coat Drive service project. Remember, it ends on the 12th!
I'm really looking forward to Special Person's Day on the 19th! Until then, stay warm and enjoy the beauty of the season and spending time with family and friends.
